TumorVision: Revolutionizing Brain Tumor Detection with Deep Learning

At the intersection of deep learning and healthcare innovation, TumorVision emerges as a groundbreaking web application dedicated to the early and accurate detection of brain tumors.

📌 Project Overview

TumorVision analyzes user-uploaded MRI scans to streamline the diagnosis process, helping both healthcare professionals and individuals detect issues and act promptly.

Classification Capabilities

The deep learning model identifies four distinct states from MRI imagery:

Glioma Tumors
Meningioma Tumors
Pituitary Tumors
No Tumor (Negative diagnosis)

⚙️ How It Works & Architecture

TumorVision is built with a decoupled architecture integrating modern frontend design with high-performance computer vision pipelines:

Frontend: Built with Flutter for a responsive, clean, and intuitive user interface across devices.
Backend: Powered by Python, handling data orchestration and prediction endpoints.
Deep Learning & Computer Vision:
PyTorch: Model architecture and training pipeline.
OpenCV: Preprocessing and advanced medical image manipulation.
Integration & Networking: Flask serves as the API gateway, with ngrok facilitating secure tunneling and communication during development.

📊 Development Progress & Status

Status: Prototype / Active Development
Performance: Currently achieves an overall model accuracy between 70% – 80%.
Validation: Early prototype successfully demonstrates proof-of-concept for automated brain tumor screening.

👥 Collaboration

Machine Learning & Backend: Model training and image processing pipelines are led by Jaliya Nimantha.

🌟 Why TumorVision Matters

Brain tumor detection is often a race against time. By delivering swift, accessible, and reliable screening, TumorVision aims to democratize early diagnostics and support clinicians in saving lives.

Stay tuned as we continue to refine model performance and enhance the application!
